Grand Opening & Ribbon Cutting Set for September 13
Brookville has a proud brewing history dating back to the 1800s, when local breweries like the North Fork and Spring Brewery served the community. That tradition has been waiting to be revived… until now. After more than a century, Brookville once again has a hometown brewery. Please join us and raise a glass to Temerity Aleworks!
The Brookville Area Chamber of Commerce will officially welcome Temerity Aleworks, located at 98 Service Center Road, Brookville, PA, with a Ribbon-Cutting Ceremony on Saturday, September 13, 2025 at 3:50pm, followed by the official Grand Opening celebration at 4pm. Guests will enjoy food from Bill Yum’s Good Eats food truck and live acoustic music from Amanda James and Sean Hook.
Temerity means excessive confidence or boldness; audacity, a fitting reflection of the founders’ approach to brewing. Temerity Aleworks embraces traditional European beer styles with fearless creativity, inviting the community to experience beer “the way it was intended.” Founders Kevin and Jamie focus on English, German, and Belgian traditions, brewing beer with uncompromising attention to detail and respect for the craft. Using water science, yeast selection, and time-honored fermentation techniques, they strive to present light, crisp ales and lagers to rich, robust porters and stouts, creating classic flavors that invite everyone, even those unsure about craft beer, to savor the artistry in every pour.
At over 8,000 square feet, the brewery and taproom is designed to bring people together, not just to enjoy beer. From live music and events to indoor cornhole, a pinball arcade, and food trucks, Temerity Aleworks is creating a versatile space for the community to gather, connect, and celebrate. While the brewery does not serve food in-house, guests can enjoy a variety of local food trucks to ensure their visit offers something delicious to pair with their carefully crafted beers.
“We want to represent traditional styles of beer and open conversations about craft brewing, even for people who think they don’t like craft beer,” said co-owner Jamie. “Our goal is to make Temerity Aleworks a place where everyone feels welcome.”
The opening of Temerity Aleworks is more than just the launch of a new business. It marks the return of an important part of Brookville’s heritage, while also creating a vibrant destination for both locals and visitors. The brewery enhances the local economy, provides a new gathering place for the community, and helps put the Brookville area on the map for craft beer enthusiasts across the region.
