    We will be selling tickets through Sunday May 31. Be sure to stop by the Weather Discovery Center to order yours today! They are concourse level 100 seats for just $12! The Punxsutawney Weather Discovery Center is excited to announce we’re heading to the concourse at Peoples Natural Gas Field for the Altoona Curve game on Sunday, June 28—and it’s shaping up to be a perfectly sunny Family Day at the ballpark! Bring your crew out for a day that’s sure to be a home run: enjoy the game, explore our traveling exhibits on the concourse, and hang out with your Weather Center friends—all while cheering on the Curve. And the forecast? A cool front of savings! Score Level 100 tickets for just $12 each. Game time is 1:00 p.m. as the Altoona Curve host the Reading Fightin’ Phils. Kids Run the Bases After the game, kids 12 & under can round the bases like all-stars! (Children 6 & under may be accompanied by an adult.)     Saturday, July 4 at 300pm - ‘A Walk Through the Forest Cathedral’ Please meet at the Log Cabin Inn Environmental Learning Classroom for an interpretive hike into the Forest Cathedral, a registered National Natural Landmark. Learn how to identify old growth forest characteristics, and observe different types of environmental disturbance that are an integral part of old growth forest ecosystems. (2 hrs)

    Cook Forest State Park

    July 12,2026 https://events.dcnr.pa.gov/event/womens-hiking-series Come Nurture your Mental and Physical health during a Sunday evening hike. We will meet at the Ridge Camp Pavilion, in Cook Forest State Park. (Across from the entrance to the Firepower on Rt. 36) Moderate Level Hiking with some rough terrain and a few hills (Not a paved level path). Approximately 2 hours long. Open to all women ages 14 and up. Dogs on a leash. Rain or Shine! Weather permitting and pending interest of the group, we will branch off into two groups. One group will venture onto a more rigorous path while the other group will continue on a path to relax and enjoy being in nature. Designed to spark conversation and connect people with the organizations shaping our region, Eggs & Issues is one of the Chamber’s most engaging quarterly networking events. Open to everyone — including business owners, professionals, community leaders, entrepreneurs, nonprofits, and residents — the morning offers a unique opportunity to build connections, gain valuable insight, and stay informed on the resources and initiatives driving growth across our communities. This event’s featured presenters are the PennWest Clarion Small Business Development Center (SBDC) and the North Central Planning & Development Commission (NCPDC). These two organizations play a major role behind the scenes in business support, economic development, entrepreneurship, workforce initiatives, funding opportunities, and long-term community growth throughout the region. Attendees will gain insight into the programs, resources, and initiatives helping local businesses and communities. The event will be held July 14 at 7:30 a.m. at Drip Coffeehouse + Kitchen.      Future Expositions: The Plan Each year our Spring Exposition features a particular engine.  Here are the featured engines for upcoming years of Expositions. June 18, 19, and 20, 2026 - Hot Air Engines of the World This Exposition will feature the hot air (Stirling) engines, fans, and numerous past and present thermal operated toys and models from across the globe! The museum currently showcases several of these unique and interesting operating machines and a record number are expected to show up for the show. Our chairman for this event is well known and respected for his knowledge of these engines, and their past, present, and future value to mankind. Exposition Chairman: Dr. Brent Rowell June 17, 18, and 19, 2027 - Crossley Bros. and other English Engines The focus of this event will showcase these uniquely designed engines. They have become popular with collectors and engine enthusiasts here in the states and abroad. The museum showcases of these engines. We look forward to seeing these engines for the Exposition! Our knowledgeable chairman promises a great Exposition! Exposition Chairman: Wayne Grenning June 15, 16, and 17, 2028 - Diesel, Air Blast & Oil Engines This event will showcase our new “Diesel Centrale CPM” building with the M.A.N. Diesel, the Graz Diesel, and the Benz Diesel engines. The museum also has an extensive display of Oil Engines in the “Power Technology Building Annex” building. Exposition Chairman: Mike Murphy June 14, 15, and 16, 2029 - The “Otto” Gas and Gasoline Engines This event will showcase the famous Otto Gas and Gasoline Engine Company of Philadelphia, PA. Founded as Schleicher, Schumm & Co. in 1876 by its German parent company, the firm later became Otto Gas Engine Works in honor of the founder and father of our modern four-cycle engine, Dr. Nicholas Otto. Exposition Chairman: Chris Epping June 13, 14, and 15, 2030 - John Deere, Root & VanDervoort, & Waterloo Boy This event will feature the John Deere, R & V, and the Waterloo Boy gas engines. This event honors Jake’s legacy with a day of friendly competition on a scenic 30-target 3-D course, complete with quirky challenges and precision novelty shoots.
