    June 18, 19, and 20, 2026 Hot Air Engines of the World This Exposition will feature the hot air (Stirling) engines, fans, and numerous past and present thermal operated toys and models from across the globe! The museum currently showcases several of these unique and interesting operating machines and a record number are expected to show up for the show. Our chairman for this event, Dr. Brent Rowell, is well known and respected for his knowledge of these engines, and their past, present, and future value to mankind. Single-Day Adult Admission - $12 Three-Day Adult Admission Pass - $30 Children under 12 years and Members - Free Seller's Fee - $40 Hours of operation for the Exposition are 7 a.m. to 8 p.m on June 18 and 19 (Thursday and Friday) 7 a.m. to 3 p.m. on June 20 (Saturday) Prior to the Exposition the museum gate will be open for visitors on June 17 (Wednesday) from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. See our schedule of future Expositions Please note: The museum is closed on Sunday, June 21

    Sloppy Science Day returns to the Punxsutawney Weather Discovery Center on Saturday, June 20, from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Get ready for a day full of messy, hands-on fun with activities like Ocean Dig, Man-Sized Bubbles, Giant Spin Art Painting, Seaside Stamping, and Shooting Soda Geysers. It’s all about getting a little sloppy while learning a lot—kids will explore science in the most entertaining (and messiest) way possible! Children ages 12 and under must be accompanied by an adult.   • Clarion River Boating Program

    Gravel Lick Mill-Creek

    ‘Clarion River Boating Program: Gravel Lick-Mill Creek’ Please join us for an interpretive guided float down the National Wild & Scenic Clarion River. Wildlife and lumber history abound along this secluded stretch of the river. Fishing is excellent. Help us document wood duck nesting success, river otter sign, and bald eagle nests while we kayak through the Steel Trap. This is a true wilderness boating experience. No sign of human occupation until we get near the end. Only experienced boaters permitted. Please meet at the Park Office where we will drive to the starting point. Folks must pre- register by 6/22 by contacting the Park Office at (814)744-8407. Registration limited to 10 boats. Cost is $50/boat payable by cash, check or money order made out to the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania. All boats, gear, and lunch provided. Prior Cook Forest kayak training participants receive a 50% discount. Register early, available spots go fast. See you on the river!
