Relay For Life of Jefferson County Rescheduled for August 23rd at Jefferson County Fairgrounds Following Brookville BBQ Bash

August 1, 2025 Author: Relay For Life of Jefferson County The American Cancer Society’s Relay For Life of Jefferson County has been officially rescheduled for Saturday, August 23rd, at the Jefferson County Fairgrounds following the Brookville Chamber’s annual Brookville BBQ Bash. After weather forced the cancellation of the original event in June, organizers are thrilled to bring the community back together for a meaningful and memorable evening of celebration, remembrance, and hope. The event will kick off with Survivor Registration and Luminaria Sales beginning at 6:00 PM, followed by the Survivor Ceremony and Recognition at 7:00 PM. Immediately after, guests are invited to enjoy a complimentary ice cream and cake social. Entertainment will be provided by the incredibly talented John Cornman, and the crowd-favorite Human Slot Machine game will also make a return for some lighthearted fun and laughs. The evening will conclude with the Luminaria Ceremony at dusk, a moving tribute to honor those we have lost and those still fighting cancer. The Brookville Area Chamber of Commerce is excited to welcome Wilson’s Woodshed, a hand-crafted wood and primitive decor retailer, to Brookville. Kick off the Spring with Wilson’s Woodshed Grand Opening Celebration May 16th – May 18th from 10:00 am – 5:00 pm and with their ribbon-cutting ceremony at 9:30 am on Saturday, May 17th. The Brookville Chamber and Wilson’s Woodshed invites residents and visitors to stop by, celebrate the grand opening, and browse the unique selection of hand-crafted decor. Laurel Festival Murder Mystery Dinner

The Brookville Laurel Festival is excited to announce their annual Murder Mystery Dinner is happening on Saturday, May 3rd! Step into the enchanting Sherwood Forest, where a rakish Robin, a sly Sheriff, and a not-so-merry band of men find themselves in a contest where the prize is… murder!  With Pittsburgh’s #1 interactive dinner theater company leading the way, you’ll become part of the story as you uncover clues, engage with the characters, and attempt to solve the crime before the night is over. BACC Ribbon Cutting: The Parker Place

The Brookville Area Chamber of Commerce is thrilled to welcome The Parker Place, a charming and intimate event center!  Join us in welcoming The Parker Place on May 3rd with a ribbon cutting ceremony at 10:45am followed by an open house at 11:00am. The Brookville Chamber and The Parker Place invites residents and visitors to stop by, grab a bite to eat, and tour the venue.  The Chow Hall will be on-site serving delicious burgers and more, while light snacks will be provided inside of the venue.  There will also be some giveaways throughout the day with some interesting prizes.  Of course attendees can enjoy their food and snacks inside the venue experiencing the warm and cozy atmosphere. Sloppy Science Day

It’s sloppy… it’s science… it’s Sloppy Science Day. On Saturday June 7 from 11:00 a.m.-3:00 p.m. we will turn the discovery center into a mess fest! Admission is $12 for children, accompanying adults are $8. Includes snack and free time on the exhibits. We have SO many sticky, sloppy, extreme, and crazy activities planned. Big things are happening in Brookville! Goodwill is on the move to a fresh new space at 144 Allegheny Boulevard in Brookville. This move brings a bright, welcoming space to better serve shoppers and support Goodwill’s mission right here in our hometown. Join us and celebrate Goodwill’s new location on Allegheny Boulevard across from Tractor Supply. To mark the occasion, the Brookville Area Chamber of Commerce is hosting an official ribbon cutting ceremony at noon during the festivties. Goodwill Industries Location: 144 Allegheny Boulevard, Brookville Date: Tuesday, June 17, 2025 Time: 11am-1pm, Ribbon Cutting 12:00pm Come celebrate with us! The current Main Street store will officially close on Monday, May 20, and the new location opens its doors on Friday, May 24.
