    Order your soups now to enjoy later this winter! This fundraiser is an important part of keeping the performing arts active in Brookville. These soups are some of our most requested and made by our board members! Soups offered include: Chicken Noodle, Chili, Ham & Bean, Potato, Stuffed Pepper, and Vegetable. All soups are packaged in quart size containers. (These soups also freeze well.) SOUPS MUST BE PRE ORDERED BY FRIDAY, FEBRUARY 13TH! Bereavement support groups offer a comfortable setting where a person who has experienced a loss can find caring, comfort, support and information in a confidential atmosphere. Penn Highlands Healthcare at Home offers this free monthly adult meeting to all area residents. Confidentiality is respected, no reservation is needed.     Come join us for a day of fun wintry activities along the picturesque National Wild & Scenic Clarion River within Cook Forest State Park.  Various activities will be held at the new River Pavilion by the playground on River Road approximately  1-mile up-river from the RT36 Cooksburg Bridge:

    - 1130am - Chili Cook-Off (hot & mild divisions)
    - 1130am-230pm - carriage rides, sledding, snowman building, ice skating (ice skates available)
    - 1200-100pm - Snowshoe interpretive hike within the old growth forest along Cook Trail, meet at the new River Pavilion
    - 100pm - Happy Dog Contest

    Come sample the chili during the ‘Free Chili Cook-Off’, that is, after the judges have tried some first.  Hot chocolate and coffee will be on hand to help take the chill out of your bones.  Enjoy a wonderful day among family and friends in Cooksburg’s winter wonderland.

  • Otter Watch

    Please bring your binoculars and spotting scopes to the Park Office for a driving tour to otter hotspots along the National Wild & Scenic Clarion River.  This is the prime time of the year to     witness otter activity.  Chances are good to observe otter sign such as slides, tracks, and latrines along the banks of the river.  Hot chocolate and coffee will be available at the Park Office to warm us up.  Maybe we’ll even get a chance to see a river otter romp in action!

  • Reynoldsville Sportsmen Show

    The 2026 Reynoldsville Sportsmen Show will feature more than 50 tables offering hunting, trapping, and fishing gear, along with ammunition, knives, and gold and silver coins for all outdoorsmen to enjoy. Admission is $5, and anyone under the age of 16 gets in free. Proceeds from the event will benefit the Reynoldsville Sportsmen Club Fish Hatchery, which supports local fish stocking and conservation efforts. The Reynoldsville Sportsmen Show is open to the public and is expected to draw many outdoor enthusiasts. For more information on the event, visit 2026 Reynoldsville Sportsmen Show.
