    Please meet at Shelter #2 to learn about our crepuscular friends while helping scientists survey bats & moths along Tom’s Run.  Please bring a light (headlamps with a red or green night-vision filter are best) and a refillable water bottle – we’ll have bat & moth masks for the kids to color.  Program is free – no registration required.  Sponsored by the Cook Forest Conservancy, Pennsylvania Game Commission, and Pennsylvania Bureau of Forestry.

We will meet at the Ridge Camp Pavilion, in Cook Forest State Park. (Across from the entrance to the Firepower on Rt. 36) Moderate Level Hiking with some rough terrain and a few hills (Not a paved level path). Approximately 2 hours long. Open to all women ages 14 and up. Dogs on a leash. Rain or Shine! Weather permitting and pending interest of the group, we will branch off into two groups. One group will venture onto a more rigorous path while the other group will continue on a path to relax and enjoy being in nature. This event honors Jake’s legacy with a day of friendly competition on a scenic 30-target 3-D course, complete with quirky challenges and precision novelty shoots.
