     Future Expositions: The Plan Each year our Spring Exposition features a particular engine.  Here are the featured engines for upcoming years of Expositions. June 18, 19, and 20, 2026 - Hot Air Engines of the World This Exposition will feature the hot air (Stirling) engines, fans, and numerous past and present thermal operated toys and models from across the globe! The museum currently showcases several of these unique and interesting operating machines and a record number are expected to show up for the show. Our chairman for this event is well known and respected for his knowledge of these engines, and their past, present, and future value to mankind. Exposition Chairman: Dr. Brent Rowell June 17, 18, and 19, 2027 - Crossley Bros. and other English Engines The focus of this event will showcase these uniquely designed engines. They have become popular with collectors and engine enthusiasts here in the states and abroad. The museum showcases of these engines. We look forward to seeing these engines for the Exposition! Our knowledgeable chairman promises a great Exposition! Exposition Chairman: Wayne Grenning June 15, 16, and 17, 2028 - Diesel, Air Blast & Oil Engines This event will showcase our new “Diesel Centrale CPM” building with the M.A.N. Diesel, the Graz Diesel, and the Benz Diesel engines. The museum also has an extensive display of Oil Engines in the “Power Technology Building Annex” building. Exposition Chairman: Mike Murphy June 14, 15, and 16, 2029 - The “Otto” Gas and Gasoline Engines This event will showcase the famous Otto Gas and Gasoline Engine Company of Philadelphia, PA. Founded as Schleicher, Schumm & Co. in 1876 by its German parent company, the firm later became Otto Gas Engine Works in honor of the founder and father of our modern four-cycle engine, Dr. Nicholas Otto. Exposition Chairman: Chris Epping June 13, 14, and 15, 2030 - John Deere, Root & VanDervoort, & Waterloo Boy This event will feature the John Deere, R & V, and the Waterloo Boy gas engines.     The Jefferson County Fair in Brookville, PA, is scheduled for July 19-25, 2026, following its traditional third week of July schedule, with plans underway for new ticket booths, entertainment, and continued community engagement The Jefferson County Fair in Brookville, PA is a premier summer tradition that brings the community together for a week of high-energy entertainment, agricultural excellence, and classic family fun. Visitors can look forward to a packed grandstand lineup featuring everything from the roar of the Demolition Derby and Rough Truck races to the power of professional truck and tractor pulls. For those seeking a change of pace, the fair offers professional rodeo action, mud bogs, and live musical performances ranging from country tributes to rock. Beyond the grandstand, the fairgrounds stay active with a full carnival provided by Bartlebaugh Amusements, the Bar C Ranch petting zoo, and daily shows that are always a crowd favorite. It is also a time to celebrate local heritage through 4-H and FFA livestock shows, competitive agricultural judging, and the annual livestock sale.

  • Hunter’s Trapper’s Education Class

    Time: The session starts at 9:00 AM and typically runs for about six hours. Location:Brockway Sportsmen's Club Cost: The basic in-person course is free of charge. Requirements: Age: Students must be at least 11 years old to enroll. Independent Study: You must read Chapters 1, 4, 5, and 9 of the "Today's Hunter and Trapper in Pennsylvania" manual before attending. Certification: You must attend the entire session and pass a multiple-choice/true-false exam with a score of 80% or higher to receive your certificate.  Commonwealth of Pennsylvania (.gov) +5 Registration Pre-registration is mandatory for all Pennsylvania Game Commission courses. You can register online through the Pennsylvania Game Commission's Hunter-Trapper Education

  • America’s 250 Cast Iron Cooking

    Come celebrate America’s 250th birthday as you walk back in time in our to observe, and possibly sample, historical cast iron cooking from our nation’s past.  State park educators from North Central and Western PA will be dressed in period clothing preparing period dishes that relate back to their park from our nation’s founding to the late 1800’s.  This is a one-time-only new park event that you will NOT want to miss!  Located at our River Cabin area, just upstream from our new River Pavilion along River Road about 1 mile up-river from the RT36 Cooksburg Bridge.  Saturday, September 19, 2026 11am to 3pm  Friday, May 22 from 800-900pm ‘An Evening with President Lincoln and the First Lady’ Please bring your chairs and blankets and meet at the Ridge Camp Park Amphitheater for an evening with Mr. & Mrs Lincoln, learning how they met before his tumultuous presidential career. Conducted by John King, lifetime member of Association of Lincoln Presenters, and 2013 look-alike contest winner at the Shriver House Museum in Gettysburg. Saturday, May 23 from 900-1030am ‘Lincoln’s Inaugural Trip to Washington’ Join President Abraham Lincoln and the First Lady as they reminisce about his trying cross country inaugural railroad trip across America to become the 16th President of the United States. Saturday, May 23 from 1130am-1230pm Paul Stillman and Dave Clark as ‘The North Meets South’ Come see the Civil War through a New York regimental line soldier and a rebel of the Army of Northern Virginia. Luthringer as a‘1750s French Marine’ We are looking for a few good men to learn how to march and fight for King Louis. Be prepared to make your mark. Two opposable teeth required. Vive le Roi!!! Saturday, May 23 from 300-430pm Paul Stillman as a ‘Seneca Indian’ A Native American visits us from the past on his trip from New York as he travels south along the historic Olean Trail. Saturday, May 23 from 800-900pm ‘An Evening with Ben Franklin’ by Paul Stillman One of the founding fathers of our country. Science, glass music, and philosophy are only part of Doctor Franklin’s life. Join the elderly statesman as he reminisces about his involvement in the French & Indian forts of the 1750’s. Please bring your chairs & blankets and meet at the Ridge Camp Park Amphitheater. Sunday, May 24 from 100-200pm Paul Stillman and Dave Clark as ‘Patriot Meets Loyalist: Friends No More!’ It was called a Revolutionary War, but it was also a civil war; family against family, friend against friend. Sunday, May 24 from 230-330pm Paul Stillman as a ‘Colonial Craftsman’ Learn how things were made during the early part of the 18 th century during a quill and bamboo pen fabrication workshop. Sunday, May 24 from 400-530pm ‘Colonial Life as a Child’ by the Noel Family Join the Noels as they discuss educational practices of Colonial America, the daily chores of children, and the games they played. You will have the opportunity to write with a quill pen, gather eggs and the day’s water supply, walk on stilts, play graces, trap ball, and dress up. Bring your kids and camp chairs to the Log Cabin Inn Environmental Learning Classroom for a Colonial education experience with your kids in mind. Sunday, May 24 from 800-930pm Ray Owen, GRAMMY nominated singer, songwriter, and storyteller, will be presenting 'Hats Off to America’ at the Ridge Camp Park Amphitheater. Take a musical journey through history with a crew of colorful characters wearing an array of period hats that step out of history and onto the stage. A spirited American odyssey that ventures from the steam engine to the search engine, the Buffalo chips to the microchips, engaging the past to enlighten our future. Don’t forget your chairs and blankets!
