Use math to collect data showing the seed productivity of different fruits           (and of course give them a taste test to) Discover the different methods of seed dispersal,and learn to recognize them out inthe wild.     One of Pennsylvania’s most anticipated motorsports events is gearing up for another high‑energy weekend as the Keystone Nationals return to the Jefferson County Fairgrounds in Brookville on Saturday, May 16, 2026. Widely regarded as the ‘holy grail’ of demolition derby venues, the fairgrounds will once again welcome drivers from more than a dozen states for a full day of full‑size, compact, and limited‑weld competition. Fans can expect packed grandstands, intense matchups, and the unmistakable excitement that has made this event a regional favorite. The Jefferson County Fairgrounds, located at 1514 Route 28 in Brookville, will open the pit gate at 8:00 a.m., with grandstands opening at 11:00 a.m. Opening ceremonies begin at 6:30 p.m., followed by the first heats at 7:00 p.m. Event Highlights The evening features: Full‑size heats Compact heats Full‑size and compact consolation rounds Limited Weld Exhibition (One & Done) Feature events Driver inspection opens at 8:00 a.m. for all full‑size and compact competitors.     Please join us for a fun filled weekend of living history as we journey through various historical eras of the United States: French & Indian War, Colonial Period, Revolutionary War, and Civil War.  Living historian and master story-teller Paul Stillman, historical interpreters Dave Clark and John King, Grammy nominated singer-song writer-storyteller, Ray Owen, with special guest appearances from President Abe Lincoln and Benjamin Franklin, as they take us through these noteworthy periods of American history through first person character portrayals, hands-on demonstrations, and song.     Friday, May 22 from 800-900pm ‘An Evening with President Lincoln and the First Lady’ Please bring your chairs and blankets and meet at the Ridge Camp Park Amphitheater for an evening with Mr. & Mrs Lincoln, learning how they met before his tumultuous presidential career. Sunday, May 24 from 400-530pm ‘Colonial Life as a Child’ by the Noel Family Join the Noels as they discuss educational practices of Colonial America, the daily chores of children, and the games they played. You will have the opportunity to write with a quill pen, gather eggs and the day’s water supply, walk on stilts, play graces, trap ball, and dress up.     The Heritage House

    Class Details Time: The session starts at 9:00 AM and typically runs for about six hours. Location: Heritage House is located at 4 Sylvania Street, Brookville, PA 15825. Cost: The basic in-person course is free of charge. Requirements: Age: Students must be at least 11 years old to enroll. Independent Study: You must read Chapters 1, 4, 5, and 9 of the "Today's Hunter and Trapper in Pennsylvania" manual before attending. Certification: You must attend the entire session and pass a multiple-choice/true-false exam with a score of 80% or higher to receive your certificate.  Commonwealth of Pennsylvania (.gov) +5 Registration Pre-registration is mandatory for all Pennsylvania Game Commission courses.
