    The first-ever Freedom of Rock Fest 2026 will be held Thursday, June 25, Friday, June 26th, and Saturday, June 27th, 2026, The event will be held at the Jefferson County Fairgrounds in Brookville, PA rain or shine! BAND LINEUP: Thursday 6/25/2026: 12PM Route 8 Band, 3PM Good Juice, 6PM Two for Flinching, 9PM Dead Level. Friday 6/26/2026: 12PM Dark Water Duo & Co. 3PM Splatter Jack, 6PM Fandango (ZZ Top Tribute), 9PM Simply Queen (Queen Tribute). Saturday 6/27/2026: 12PM Local Beef, 3PM Fuse, 6PM Land of Ozz (Ozzy Tribute), 9PM Strutter (Kiss Tribute) The 2026 Freedom of Rock Fest will benefit Local Breast Cancer Survivors. Come out and help us make this first event a huge success and help support a great cause.om

  • Clarion River Boating Program

    Gravel Lick Mill-Creek

    ‘Clarion River Boating Program: Gravel Lick-Mill Creek’ Please join us for an interpretive guided float down the National Wild & Scenic Clarion River. Wildlife and lumber history abound along this secluded stretch of the river. Fishing is excellent. Help us document wood duck nesting success, river otter sign, and bald eagle nests while we kayak through the Steel Trap. This is a true wilderness boating experience. No sign of human occupation until we get near the end. Only experienced boaters permitted. Please meet at the Park Office where we will drive to the starting point. Folks must pre- register by 6/22 by contacting the Park Office at (814)744-8407. Registration limited to 10 boats. Cost is $50/boat payable by cash, check or money order made out to the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania. All boats, gear, and lunch provided. Prior Cook Forest kayak training participants receive a 50% discount. Register early, available spots go fast. See you on the river!

  • Glow Golf

    Pinecrest Country Club 29 W Pinecrest Ln, Brookville

    Pinecrest Country Club will host its 2026 Glow Golf event on Friday, June 26, 2026, offering a unique night of entertainment and sport. The evening kicks off at 6:00 PM with a casual picnic featuring hamburgers and hot dogs. As darkness falls at approximately 8:15 PM, the main event begins with a round of nighttime golf played in foursomes. Participants will receive glow gear to navigate the course under the stars. Entry fees are set at $40 for individuals and $75 for couples. The event promises great food, nighttime golf, and a memorable, glowing experience for all attendees.

The Punxsutawney Weather Discovery Center is excited to announce we’re heading to the concourse at Peoples Natural Gas Field for the Altoona Curve game on Sunday, June 28—and it’s shaping up to be a perfectly sunny Family Day at the ballpark! Bring your crew out for a day that’s sure to be a home run: enjoy the game, explore our traveling exhibits on the concourse, and hang out with your Weather Center friends—all while cheering on the Curve.     Food Truck Monday returns to Historic Downtown Brookville beginning March 16! Each Monday from mid-March through October, a rotating lineup of food trucks will serve lunch and dinner in front of Town Square on Main Street.
