Are you “hungry” for new ways to support the library? We can help with that. The Rebecca M Arthurs Memorial Library and Summerville Public Library will once again be holding our “Bites for Books” take out Dinner Fundraiser. Meals are provided by Shannon’s Catering and include your choice of either include your choice of either a stuffed chicken meal or lasagna. Dinners include salad, bread and a dessert. Tickets are only $10 each. You can pick up your meals at the RMAML from 3:30pm to 5:30pm on September 23rd. You can purchase your tickets from any of our board members, or at either the RMAML or the Summerville Public Library. The last day to purchase your tickets is September 15th.
Warm up after casting your vote and support the Heritage House Senior Center! Stop by on Tuesday, November 4th for a hearty quart of soup — choose from Chicken Noodle or Vegetable Beef — prepared by Shannon’s Catering. Quarts are $10 each and available starting at 8:00 AM until sold out. Pre-orders are encouraged and can be picked up from 8:00–11:30 AM. Pre-order by October 28 by calling (814) 849-3391. Proceeds help Jefferson County Area Agency on Aging continue its mission of providing meals, activities, and vital support services that keep our older adults connected, healthy, and engaged in in our community.
