• Book Club At Maison Alkabby

    Maison Alkabby

This July, we’re diving into something a little daring, a little provocative: Secretary by Mary Gaitskill. Originally published in her acclaimed collection Bad Behavior, Secretary is a sharp, intimate short story that explores power, desire, identity, and the complexities of human connection. It’s bold, thought-provoking, and sure to spark a lively, layered discussion—just the way we like it. If you’ve seen the film adaptation Secretary, get ready—the original story offers a more subtle, literary take that invites deeper interpretation and conversation. Join us for an evening of meaningful dialogue, connection, and a touch of the unexpected. Wednesday, July 29th 6pm-8pm
