The Brookville Area Chamber of Commerce proudly celebrated the very best of the community at its 2026 Annual Awards Celebration, held Thursday, April 23 at The Parker Place. Centered around this year’s theme, “The Heart of Brookville,” the evening recognized the individuals, businesses, and organizations whose dedication, compassion, and leadership continue to shape the community in meaningful ways. “This is always my favorite night of the year,” said Executive Director Jamie Popson in her opening remarks. “Tonight is different. It’s about the people who go above and beyond what’s expected—who put their heart into what many simply call a job. This year brought a record number of nominations, which speaks volumes about the strength and spirit of our community.” The evening featured guest speaker Sarah Gallagher, a Brookville Borough Council member and lifelong volunteer whose involvement spans youth programs, community organizations, and regional leadership initiatives. Dr. Walter Dick Memorial Award – Sarah GallagherThere are people who give their time… and then there are people who give their heart. Sarah Gallagher is both. As anticipation filled the room and her name was finally revealed, the emotion was unmistakable—because this honor represents something deeply earned. As the youngest recipient of the Dr. Walter Dick Memorial Award, Sarah embodies a level of commitment that goes far beyond expectation. She doesn’t just volunteer—she shows up, steps up, and lifts up every organization, every initiative, and every person she touches.
