Cook Forest State Park will host a series of living history events depicting life during the French & Indian War. Highlights of this full two-day encampment include woodland natives, cannon and musket firing, cooking, primitive skills, blacksmithing, tinsmithing, pottery, children’s games, sutler camp, renown living historians, French & Indian War Era artisans, and live tactical engagements. The 2025 Brookville Laurel Festival Autorama, will be broken down into 16 classes, as well as Best of Show, Queen's Choice, and Board’s Choice. ● Registration fee is $10.00 per vehicle ○ $7.00 entry fee if you pre-register (postmarked by 5/15/25) Trophies are to be awarded for 1st place, 2nd, and 3rd place for all classes, and for Queen’s Choice, Best of Show, and Board’s Choice. Please bring your mask & snorkels to the River Cabin playground to search the river for aquatic insects and fish. This is a great opportunity to see fish and bugs up close and undisturbed in their natural habitat. It’s a totally different world down there. Children must be with participating adult. Be prepared to car pool to other areas along the river.

2025 Corsica Volunteer Fire Company’s 4th of July Celebration Celebrate Independence Day with two days of fun, food, and festivities at the Corsica Volunteer Fire Company grounds! This beloved annual event brings together the community with a wide range of activities for all ages. Festivities kick off on Sunday, June 29th with a full day of events: Chinese Auction Sales run until 6 PM At 11 AM, don’t miss the classic Car Show hosted by the Knight Cruisers Also at 11 AM, enjoy a mouthwatering Chicken BBQ Wrap up the evening with a 7 PM Vesper Service and Ice Cream Social The main celebration continues on Friday, July 4th, starting with the parade at 10:30 AM (line-up begins at 8:30 AM). After the parade, the kitchen opens for a delicious community dinner. For $12, enjoy your choice of roast beef or ham, scalloped potatoes, corn or green beans, pasta salad, a roll, and dessert. It’s the perfect way to fuel up before an afternoon of fun.
