Join us for a heart-filled event of creativity and fun as we transform wooden heart cutouts into adorable Candy Heart Keepsakes. Kids welcome! You will paint hearts in bright pastel colors and add sweet messages like “Be Mine”, “Hugs”, and “XOXO”—just like the classic Valentine candies! Class includes 3 hearts approx. 3”
Our fly-tying classes are back! Iron Furnace Chapter #288 of Trout Limited partnered with Temerity Aleworks in Brookville. February 6th and 20th will be instruction based for those interested and February 13th will be open tying. Materials for basic/intermediate flies will be provided. Tools and vices are limited, please bring your if you are able to. Fly tiers of all skill levels are welcome. Come join us for a day of fun wintry activities along the picturesque National Wild & Scenic Clarion River within Cook Forest State Park. Various activities will be held at the new River Pavilion by the playground on River Road approximately 1-mile up-river from the RT36 Cooksburg Bridge:
- 1130am - Chili Cook-Off (hot & mild divisions)
- 1130am-230pm - carriage rides, sledding, snowman building, ice skating (ice skates available)
- 1200-100pm - Snowshoe interpretive hike within the old growth forest along Cook Trail, meet at the new River Pavilion
- 100pm - Happy Dog Contest
Come sample the chili during the ‘Free Chili Cook-Off’, that is, after the judges have tried some first. Hot chocolate and coffee will be on hand to help take the chill out of your bones. Enjoy a wonderful day among family and friends in Cooksburg’s winter wonderland.
This eventn invites students who attend Northside or Pinecreek Elementary School.kindergarten through secondgrade,to wear pajamas and slippers,bring there favorite stuffed animal and listen to stories. Each student will recieve a free book and snack to take home. 0
