This event invites students who attend Northside or Pinecreek Elementary School. Kindergarten through second grade,to wear pajamas and slippers, bring there favorite stuffed animal and listen to stories. Each student will recieve a free book and snack to take home.

STEM Saturdays at the Library Spark your child’s curiosity this season with STEM Saturdays! Hosted by the Rebecca M. Arthurs Memorial Library, these hands-on sessions are designed to engage young minds in the wonders of Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math. Each month features a unique, interactive theme tailored for students in Grades K–6. Whether it's exploring the chemistry of candy or the secrets of the natural world, there’s something for every young explorer. Get the kids outdoors for a special "head start" on trout season! This statewide event allows young anglers to fish a full week before the general opening day. Quick Details: Who: Youth ages 15 and under. Requirements: Kids must have a free Mentored Youth Permit or a Voluntary Youth License. Mentors: Must be accompanied by a licensed adult (16+) with a valid 2026 PA Fishing License and Trout Stamp. Keep: Youth may harvest up to two trout (7-inch minimum); adults must catch-and-release. The Jefferson County Sheriff's Office will host its "Bunnies in Blue" free Easter movie night on Thursday, April 2, 2026, at the Moonlite Drive-In Theatre in Brookville. Gates open at 5:00 PM, followed by an Easter Egg Hunt for children ages 0–10 at 5:30 PM. Attendees can enjoy a free screening of the movie Hop and meet the Easter Bunny for photos. The Sheriff's Office will also provide free Easter care packages containing non-perishable food for families in need. Packages are available on a first-come, first-served basis from a designated patrol cruiser. Those wishing to support the cause can find a donation box for care package items in the lobby of the Jefferson County Courthouse.
