Mentored Youth Trout Day

Get the kids outdoors for a special “head start” on trout season! This statewide event allows young anglers to fish a full week before the general opening day.
Quick Details:

Who: Youth ages 15 and under.

Requirements: Kids must have a free Mentored Youth Permit or a Voluntary Youth License.

Mentors: Must be accompanied by a licensed adult (16+) with a valid 2026 PA Fishing License and Trout Stamp.

Keep: Youth may harvest up to two trout (7-inch minimum); adults must catch-and-release.
