Clarion River History

Join environmental education specialist Dale Luthringer for an engaging presentation on the rich and evolving history of the Clarion River. Hosted by the Jefferson County History Center, this program is the final installment in the “Window to the Past: Hidden Histories and Stories of Jefferson County” series.
Luthringer will take attendees on a journey from Native American presence along the river to the rise of lumbering, mills, and industry, and through to today’s conservation and environmental recovery efforts. Known for his storytelling and deep knowledge of the region, he will highlight historic sites and share insights into early tools, techniques, and the legacy of the river.
