Begins at the Log Cabin Inn Environmental Learning Classroom just off Forest Road, moving into the Tom’s Run Valley and the Forest Cathedral old-growth forest.  (contact the park office to confirm if registration or advance notice is needed).  Call the Cook Forest State Park Office at (814) 744-8407. 

• Guided Historical Walk: A roughly 2-hour nighttime trek beneath towering, centuries-old white pines and hemlocks by candlelight.  Led by historical interpreters, such as a 1750s French Marine or an 1800s lumberman/logger, sharing stories of those who lived near these giants long ago. Hot chocolate and candy are typically served at the learning center afterward.  Visitors are asked to bring their own flashlights to navigate parts of the trail safely.
