Forest Photography Workshop
When and Where
The Friends of Cook Forest Series: Forest Photography Workshop is a free, hands-on educational event designed to teach the fundamentals of woodland photography.
The program is led by local nature photographer Kevin Kaltenbaugh, owner of the nearby Gallery in the Forest. The workshop is structured into two parts:
A brief introductory session inside the Park Office conference room covering camera settings, lighting, and composition basics specifically tailored for forest environments.
The group will head out onto the park’s trails to practice capturing successful images firsthand in the deeply shaded, old-growth environment of Cook Forest.
The program is entirely free.
Participation is strictly limited to 12 people to ensure individual instruction. Pets are not allowed on this program.
