Apex Geotech Solutions Dedicates 9/11 Memorial Monument Made from World Trade Center Steel

BROOKVILLE, PA — September 11, 2026 — Twenty-five years after September 11, 2001, a piece of that history now has a permanent place in Brookville, Pennsylvania.

Apex Geotech Solutions held a private dedication ceremony Friday morning at its Brookville facility, unveiling a memorial monument constructed from two steel plates recovered from the World Trade Center site following the September 11 attacks. The monument now stands at the front entrance of Apex Geotech Solutions, formerly the OCI Division, at 370 Industrial Park Road and is accessible to the public.

During Friday’s dedication, Apex CEO Gerald Mosley reflected on the company’s connection to the recovery effort and the decision to bring the steel out of storage and create a permanent memorial. In the weeks and months following September 11, Apex supplied critical equipment and materials that helped stabilize the foundation at the World Trade Center site, supporting search, recovery and rebuilding efforts.

The monument serves as a lasting reminder of the 2,977 people who lost their lives that day, the first responders and service members who ran toward danger, and the recovery workers who continued the difficult work in the aftermath.

The dedication ceremony included the presentation of colors and National Anthem by American Legion Post 720, remarks from Apex representatives and guests, a blessing of the monument and moment of silence led by Pastor Joe Short of Brookville First Methodist Church, and the playing of Taps. Local firefighters, law enforcement officers, veterans and community representatives were also in attendance.

Mosley expressed appreciation to those who helped bring the memorial to life, emphasizing that the monument belongs not only to Apex but also to the community.

The dedication concluded with a reminder that, while 25 years have passed, the significance of September 11 has not.

The monument was dedicated September 11, 2026, marking the 25th anniversary of the attacks.
