With the new school year just around the corner, now is the perfect time to find meaningful ways to engage with your community. The Brookville Area Chamber of Commerce is seeking dedicated board members, interns, and volunteers to help us continue our mission of fostering local business growth and community development. If you’re looking for opportunities to be more involved, look no further than the Brookville Chamber.
Board Members
We are inviting community-minded individuals to apply for board member positions. Responsibilities of a board member include:
- Attending regular meetings and contributing to strategic discussions
- Assisting in planning and executing events
- Providing guidance on marketing and community outreach initiatives
- Engaging with local businesses and organizations to foster relationships
- Supporting membership growth and retention efforts

Internships for Credit
Students needing credit requirements can gain valuable experience and academic credit through internships with the Chamber. These internships provide practical knowledge and hands-on involvement in areas such as:
- Event Planning and Assistance
- Social Media, Marketing, and Website Management
- Business Interactions
- Newsletters and Emails
- Membership Work
- Clerical and Maintenance Duties
This opportunity not only fulfills academic requirements but also enhances resumes and builds essential social and professional skills.
Volunteer Opportunities
Do you have some free time and a passion for making a difference? Volunteering with the Chamber can be a fun and fulfilling way to get involved! From hanging posters around town to data entry, there’s something for everyone. Other exciting volunteer activities include writing a blog story on a topic you’re passionate about, creating engaging social media posts, updating the website, operating the registration table at an event, and more. Whether you’re a student needing community hours or a retiree simply want to contribute to your community, volunteering with the Chamber offers a great chance to connect with local businesses and organizations, all while building your resume and having fun.
PathStone Program Collaboration
We proudly collaborate with the PathStone program to support workforce development. PathStone offers services including job training and placement assistance. To be eligible for the PathStone program, participants must be 55 years or older and meet certain income requirements.
