Edible Flowers Workshop at Quiet Creek Herb Farm
Learn how to propagate plants such as pansies, calendula, nasturtiums, borage and more. These annuals will grow into medicinal, ornamental, and culinary herbs that you can sell and/or enjoy for your business or pleasure. Rusty and Claire, having 20 years of experience at Quiet Creek, will lead you in this hands-on class, teaching you how to make the most of edible flowers. Cost analysis (retail and wholesale) will be outlined for your financial decision making. You will go home with a variety of plants and your newfound knowledge to sustain your herbs for a lifetime.

Our mission is to collect, preserve, and interpret historically significant and mechanically interesting early stationary internal combustion engines for the education and enjoyment of everyone.
Coolspring Power Museum presents an illuminating history of the evolution of internal combustion engine technology that put an end to the steam powered era. The museum’s collection includes over 275 stationary engines housed in more than 20 display buildings.
Stationary gas hit and miss engines, throttle governed engines, flame ignition engines, hot tube ignition engines, and hot air engines are all among the permanent exhibits at the Coolspring Power Museum in Coolspring, Pennsylvania. Engines in the museum’s collection range in size from fractional horsepower up to 600 horsepower. Duathlon, 5K Race, Community Walk
Brookville Y CARES for kids benefiting Western PA CARES for Kids Child Advocacy Center will be holding it’s 9th annual duathlon, 5k race and community walk on Saturday, July 15th, 2017 at Cook Forest State Park, shelter 2. Pre-registration and waiver forms will be available online at www.carescac.org and at the Brookville YMCA at the beginning of May. The Pre-registration deadline is June 26th. An awards ceremony and free lunch will follow the race. All proceeds help us provide a child friendly coordinated response to child abuse. Woodcarving Show and Competition
2017 is the 33rd annual. Features wood and carving related vendors, contests, and demonstrations. Soap carving for the kids! The extraordinary talent of many artists from across the region will be on display in the show area. Prizes awarded in many categories of this traditional art form that is reaching new heights. Vote for the “People’s Choice” Award. Vendors and artists will demonstrate and display their work.
